onnection Credit Union (CCU) was founded in 1958 as the City of Bremerton Employees Credit Union. There were 32 original members, who invested $5 each, so the original assets totaled $160.00 at its inception.

For nearly 50 years, through 7 moves (Bremerton, Port Orchard, and Silverdale), 2 names changes, membership growth of over 10,000% and assets now totaling over $20,000,000.00, our credit union has continued to offer products and services to meet the changing needs of our membership.

In light of member requests, field of membership growth and name issues, in 2005 the Board of Directors determined that the name Kitsap County Public Employees Credit Union no longer reflected the full scope and diversity of our membership. On July 1, 2006 the credit union officially became Connection Credit Union.

On September 25, 2006, the main office in Silverdale opened for business in our own building on 10200 Silverdale Way NW - the first building we have ever owned.

We are looking forward to the future with resolve to continue to enhance products and services, value our loyal members and educate our field of membership about the credit union difference and our "people helping people" philosophy.
