Mission Statement
It is our intention to remain an independent, locally owned and employee owned community bank.

The mission of the Bank of Whitman is to provide for the financial needs of our service area by being a safe, sound, customer-oriented, profitable financial institution, promoting economic growth, opportunity, and stability within our communities.

This mission will be accomplished by providing quality financial products, and responsive, personalized service, while emphasizing our commitment to employee ownership and remaining an independent, locally owned community bank.

Our History
In the year of 1975 a group of Whitman County farmers and businessmen decided to start an independent, locally-owned commercial bank. This bank would be dedicated to serving their community and would be owned and staffed by local people. The Bank of Whitman opened its doors in Colfax on September 29, 1977. The leadership of our Bank had a dream. A dream of a bank owned and operated by its employees and dedicated to serving the communities they live in.

Today, that dream has become a reality with the commitment of our employees and our employee stock ownership plan. We at the Bank of Whitman are proud to be and intend to remain, an independent, locally owned community bank. Today the Bank of Whitman has 20 branches with over 500 million dollars in assets.
