Why did you start this blog?
Throughout my 20’s, I’ve noticed that many of my peers have started making a real income for the first time in their lives, yet their careless high school and college personal finance habits stayed the same. Many were making questionable financial decisions that would affect them for the remainder of their lives.
20Somethingfinance is created for the purpose of filling a niche in helping young professionals get out of debt, build wealth, and achieve financial freedom. There are plenty of essential financial lessons for everyone, regardless of age. Please use this site as a platform debate on personal finance topics or to seek personal finance advice from others.
Ultimately, my goal is to achieve financial independence and freedom, and I hope to share that passion with you. I have come a long ways in my twenties. My student loans are paid in full, I have zero consumer and credit card debt, my vehicle is paid in full, I have maxed out my 401k each of the last 3 years, and I expect to pay off my house within 2 years. I’ve come a long ways, but I don’t have all the answers. That’s why I’d like you to be a member of the community here at 20somethingfinance.com.
